Know Your Fabric

• Silk – Natural protein fiber, very delicate
• Satin – Can be silk or synthetic, smooth weave
• Lace – Delicate openwork fabric
• Chiffon – Sheer, lightweight fabric

Hand Washing Silk

1. Fill basin with cool water
2. Add silk-specific detergent or baby shampoo
3. Submerge and swirl gently
4. Never wring, twist, or scrub
5. Soak 3-5 minutes maximum
6. Rinse in cool water until clear

Drying Delicates

1. Lay flat on clean towel
2. Roll towel to absorb water
3. Unroll and reshape garment
4. Lay flat on dry towel or rack
5. Never hang silk when wet (stretches)
6. Keep away from direct sunlight
