Love Wash Laundromat – Mascot

We're on the ground floor of the Meriton UNITY building at Shop 8/256 Coward Street, Mascot NSW 2020 — look for the blue illuminated LOVE WASH sign in the window. By car: enter Coward Street from Kent Road and about 120m in, turn left at the blue 'P' sign for free undercover public parking, available 7am–11pm daily. Street parking is on Coward Street past Bourke Road and on Jackson Drive, and there's undercover parking beneath Mascot Central Woolworths, a 1-minute walk via Etherden Walk (entry on Church Avenue). By bus: routes 358 and 418 stop a few metres from our door. By train: Mascot Station is a 3-minute walk.

A wash cycle averages around 30 minutes on any machine size. Dryer cycles run 20, 30 or 40 minutes, so a complete wash and dry takes about an hour.

Printed instructions are on every machine and on the wall. Empty your pockets, load up, close the door, choose your cycle and temperature, tap your card or phone on the PayWave reader attached to the machine, wait for approval and press START. The LED display counts down your minutes. No detergent needed — it's automatically injected into every wash, free. We're 100% cash-free and accept Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS, Amex, JCB, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.

Three washer sizes: Medium takes 10kg (about 1–2 domestic loads), Large 14kg (2–3 loads) and Extra-Large 27kg (3–4 loads — perfect for doonas and bulky items). Two dryer sizes: Large dryers fit loads from the Medium and Large washers, and the Extra-Large dryer handles XL washer loads or multiple smaller ones. Dryers work best around half-full, and heavy items like towels need longer cycles.

No need — a perfectly measured dose of biodegradable, hypoallergenic, low-foam detergent is automatically injected into every wash, free of charge, leaving a subtle natural eucalyptus scent. Adding your own on top usually creates too many suds and leaves chemical residue in your laundry. The one Love Wash-approved additive is an oxy-brightener (colour-safe oxygen bleach) sprinkled over dry laundry before the cycle starts — great for stain removal and brightening whites.

Our detergent is low-foam by design — suds aren't what cleans your clothes. Calibrated pumps dispense the exact dose for your machine size and are checked every morning. Lightly loaded machines or heavier fabrics can show more or fewer bubbles from load to load — all completely normal.

Don't overload them. Dryers work most efficiently around half-full so hot air can circulate freely — that's what puts the tumble in tumble-dry. An overstuffed dryer dries slowly and costs you more. Towels and blankets take longer than light items, so add minutes for towel-heavy loads, or split heavy and light items into two dryers.
