FAQ
How do I use the fancy-pants machines?
Printed instructions are on every machine. Empty your pockets, load up, close the door, pick your cycle and temperature, then scan the QR code to pay on your mobile or tap your card/phone at the kiosk. Pop in your mobile number for a free SMS reminder a few minutes before your cycle finishes, hit start, and go relax (or fold someone else's laundry — your call).
Can I use my own detergent or fabric softener?
No need — a perfectly measured dose of biodegradable, hypoallergenic, low-foam detergent (with a subtle eucalyptus scent) is automatically injected into every wash, free of charge. You technically can add your own on top of your clothes before starting, but we don't recommend it — too much detergent means too many suds that won't rinse out, leaving residue behind no matter how "fresh" it smells. If you want extra brightening or stain-fighting power, sprinkle on an oxy-brightener (colour-safe, eco-friendly, rinses out clean) before you start the cycle.
Why aren't there many suds — is the free detergent thing even real?
It's real, we promise! Our pumps are calibrated to dispense exactly the right amount for each machine size and checked every morning — if one's off, that washer gets shut down until it's fixed. It's a low-foam detergent by design, so minimal suds is normal, not a sign something's wrong. Lighter loads may show a few more bubbles since there's less laundry to soak it up — nothing to worry about either way.
Can I wash or dry shoes?
As much as we love a good sneaker, our machines are for clothes, towels and bedding only. Shoes can damage the machines, ruin your shoes, and hold up everyone else's laundry — so leave the sneakers, boots and flip-flops out. Your shoes (and our machines) will thank you.
How big are the machines and which one should I use?
We've got three washer sizes, two dryer sizes, plus a dedicated pet washer & dryer. M Washer (machines 2–4) — up to 14kg, ~2–3 domestic loads. L Washer (machines 5–7) — up to 18kg, ~3–4 loads. XL Washer (machine 8) — up to 28kg, ~5–6 loads. L Dryer (machines 2–9, 18kg) pairs with M/L washer loads. XL Dryer (machine 10, 35kg) suits an XL wash or multiple smaller loads. Dryers work best when half-full, so go easy on the overloading — lighter loads dry faster and cheaper too.

We're cash-free for hygiene, convenience and security. Accepted: Visa and Mastercard (debit and credit), Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, genuine EFTPOS-only cards, Amex and JCB — plus $1 and $2 coins on selected machines.
