Laundromats with WiFi and Comfortable Amenities

The stereotype of the laundromat as a dingy, uncomfortable place where you sit on a plastic chair staring at spinning machines is increasingly outdated. Modern, well-run laundromats have invested in creating environments where the waiting time is genuinely comfortable — and even productive. Here’s what to expect from the best in class.

Free WiFi

More and more laundromats now offer free WiFi for customers, recognising that the 60–90 minutes spent doing laundry is an opportunity for people to catch up on work, streaming, or social media. Love Wash offers free WiFi at our Bella Vista and Zetland locations, and we’re working to extend this to all four sites.

With free WiFi, your laundromat visit can double as a remote work session, a Netflix binge, a study period, or a time to catch up on messages — making it a genuinely useful hour rather than dead time.

Comfortable Seating

Good laundromats have invested in seating that you can comfortably occupy for an hour. This means chairs with proper back support, adequate padding, and enough of them to accommodate busy periods. Love Wash has seating in all our waiting areas designed to be genuinely comfortable for an extended stay.

Good Lighting

Laundromats with good lighting are more pleasant to be in and more functional — you can read, work on your laptop, or simply have a clear view of your machines from the seating area. Love Wash uses bright, clear lighting throughout our premises.

Charging Points

If you’re spending an hour at a laundromat, keeping your devices charged matters. Some Love Wash locations offer charging points near the seating areas — check our website or ask staff at your nearest location.

Clean, Well-Maintained Bathrooms

A laundromat with a clean bathroom is a laundromat that cares about its customers. At Love Wash, bathrooms are cleaned multiple times daily as part of our standard operating procedure.

Folding Areas

Adequate folding table space is something many laundromats underinvest in. Love Wash provides ample folding table area so you’re not competing for space with other customers when your drying is done.

Making Your Time Work for You

The right environment transforms laundry time from wasted time into productive time. If you’re working from the Love Wash waiting area, catching up on reading, or watching a show you’ve been meaning to get to, the time flies. This is one of the reasons our regular customers tell us they actually don’t mind laundry day — which is something we’re proud of.
