How Mobile Payment Works at Love Wash
Each machine at Love Wash has a contactless payment terminal. To pay with your phone:
- Select your wash or dry cycle on the machine panel
- When prompted to pay, hold your phone close to the payment terminal
- Use Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode to authenticate
- Wait for the confirmation beep and green light
- Your cycle starts automatically
The process takes about 5 seconds and is completely secure. Apple Pay and Google Pay tokenise your payment details, meaning your actual card number is never transmitted.
What If My Phone Battery Dies?
A flat battery is one of the few things that can make mobile payment inconvenient. Our advice: keep a card in your wallet as a backup for laundromat visits. Physical card tap-and-go payment works exactly the same way at our terminals as phone payment. Coins are also accepted as a last resort.
